* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portage County in central Wisconsin... Wood County in central Wisconsin...

* WHEN...Until 945 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 646 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, Whiting, Amherst, Pittsville, Lake Wazeecha, Babcock, Plover, Stockton, Nekoosa, Port Edwards, Biron, Sherry, Jordan, Vesper, Rosholt, Park Ridge, Rudolph, Junction City and Amherst Junction. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and northeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, in central Wisconsin, Portage, Waushara and Wood. In east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc and Winnebago. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Door, Kewaunee and Outagamie.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain are expected to spread across the region this evening. The heavy rain falling on soils saturated from the heavy rain that occurred Monday evening through early this morning will only aggravate flooding concerns ongoing across the area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood close
