FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin...

Wolf River near Shiocton affecting Outagamie, Shawano and Waupaca Counties.

For the Lower Wolf River...including Shiocton, New London, Lake Poygan...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Wolf River near Shiocton.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Water is about a foot below the bottom of the Highway 54 bridge. Flood waters begin spreading over parts of Shiocton adjacent to the river including River and Mills Streets.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 12.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.5 feet early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.1 feet on 04/01/1922. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.

* WHERE...Northern Brown County in northeastern Wisconsin... Southern Door County in northeastern Wisconsin... Northwestern Kewaunee County in northeastern Wisconsin... Southern Oconto County in northeastern Wisconsin... Northern Outagamie County in northeastern Wisconsin... Shawano County in northeastern Wisconsin... Northern Waupaca County in northeastern Wisconsin...

* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 943 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Shawano, Sturgeon Bay, Bay Shore Park, Clintonville, Pulaski, Wittenberg, Embarrass, Navarino Wildlife Area, Howard, Suamico, Little Suamico, Chase, Pittsfield, Abrams, Belle Plaine, Angelica, Bonduel, Red River and Pensaukee. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
