* WHEN...From Friday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water and high waves can sweep people off piers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly winds will increase on Friday to 15 to 25 mph which will push waves into the 3 to 5 foot range. South sides of south piers will be the most dangerous places to swim, such as, Grand Haven State Park and Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon.
