* WHAT...Snow. Snow accumulations tonight of 2-4 inches on the Sierra crest. Then for Wednesday-Thursday morning, 4-8 inches west of Highway 89 with 6-12 inches along the Sierra crest. 1 to 3 inches possible at lake level. Sierra valley gusts of 45 to 55 mph. Wave heights on Lake Tahoe from 3 to 6 feet. 100 mph gusts on the ridgetops.
* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.
* WHEN...Until 8 AM PDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
