.A cold winter storm will bring light snow over the Sierra and southern Cascades this morning through this evening. The majority of snow accumulation will be above 4000 feet, but we could see some light accumulation down to 1500 feet late tonight.

* WHAT...Light snow accumulations. Plan on slippery road conditions. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected above 2500 feet with lighter accumulations to as low as 2000 feet.

* WHERE...Del Norte Interior, Interior Humboldt County and Northern Trinity County. Highways impacted include Highway 3, Highway 299 at Berry Summit, Bald Hills Road and other rural roadways above 2500 feet. Some light accumulations possible to as low as 2000 feet, including around the Collier Tunnel on Highway 199.
