These are the locations with the highest predicted snowfall. The measurement is from now until 24 hours from now. This is just predicted snowfall, it doesn't take into account the snow that's already fallen.
This list is generated from a variety of geographically significant locations across the USA. We tried to include multiple cities in each state, and other significant points of interest such as areas with ski resorts and areas which have had the highest concentrations of snowfall in the past.
